Meeting point at Düsseldorf Airport: arrivals hall and name sign
One terminal with three piers
Düsseldorf Airport has one terminal with three piers, A, B and C. Check-in and security are on the Departures level (E1), while baggage reclaim and the arrivals hall are on the Arrivals level (E0). Your chauffeur waits for you in the arrivals hall with a name sign as soon as you come through with your luggage.
Flight monitoring and waiting time
So that we know when you actually land, give us your flight number when you book and we will monitor your flight to Düsseldorf. If your plane lands later than scheduled, the 45 minutes of waiting time included in the fixed price only start from the actual landing. That leaves time to get to the baggage carousel and into the arrivals hall.
No stopping outside arrivals
According to the airport, there are no stopping areas outside the terminal on the Arrivals level, and stopping is strictly prohibited there. So a car cannot simply pull up at the door to pick you up. With AYDEN, you meet your chauffeur in the arrivals hall and walk to the car together from there.
Düsseldorf Airport transfers to the trade fair and for business travel
Messe Düsseldorf
The airport and Messe Düsseldorf in Stockum are approx. 4 km apart, about 9 minutes' drive without traffic. For trade fairs such as MEDICA, glasstec or boot, your chauffeur takes you from the terminal straight to the exhibition grounds or to your hotel. The grounds have several entrances, including North, South and East, so choose the one closest to your hall as your destination.
Groups and delegations
The Business Van has room for up to 6 passengers with 6 bags. For stand staff and delegations of up to 17, you can request the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter through the ‘Request a quote’ form. The price calculator shows which vehicle classes are available for your route.
Business travel
On a business trip, the time after landing matters. With flight monitoring and a name sign waiting for you, the drive to a meeting on the Königsallee or in the MedienHafen starts without any searching. Companies can pay by invoice via bank transfer. If your meeting is in another city, such as Cologne or somewhere in the Ruhr, a city-to-city chauffeur transfer takes you straight there.
Düsseldorf Airport: transfer, train or taxi?
S-Bahn and light rail
Suburban rail line S11 stops at the station below the terminal and runs via Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof to Bergisch Gladbach. Light rail line U80 runs without a change from the Flughafen Terminal stop at Terminal C via Messe Ost/Stockumer Kirchstraße and the city centre to the Hauptbahnhof. This works well if you are travelling light and your destination is close to a stop.
Long-distance station and SkyTrain
Regional and long-distance trains, up to ICE services, stop at Düsseldorf Flughafen station on the eastern edge of the airport grounds. From there, the SkyTrain takes you to the terminal in around seven minutes. With several suitcases or trade fair luggage, every change costs time and energy, and there is often still a walk from the stop to your front door.
Taxi or AYDEN transfer
According to the airport, taxis are available day and night on both the Arrivals and Departures levels; you only find out which car you get when you reach the taxi rank. With an AYDEN transfer, the vehicle class and fixed price are settled when you book, and your driver is a certified chauffeur holding a German passenger transport licence (Personenbeförderungsschein). Child seats are free of charge on request. If you are travelling as a team, with lots of luggage or a tight schedule, a transfer is usually the more relaxed choice.
