Good to know for business trips in Munich

Low-emission zone: on and inside the Mittlerer Ring only vehicles with a green sticker are allowed; diesels rated Euro 4/IV or worse have been banned there since 1 February 2023.

Following a court decision, a 30 km/h limit has again applied on a section of Landshuter Allee (Mittlerer Ring) since late February 2026.

Airport: at the departure and arrival forecourts of Terminals 1 and 2, vehicles may stop free of charge for 10 minutes twice per calendar day; after that, stopping time is charged.

The Kaufingerstraße/Neuhauser Straße pedestrian zone between Marienplatz and Karlsplatz (Stachus) is car-free – chauffeur meeting points are at its edges.
