Meeting point at Hamburg Airport: arrivals hall and name sign
Terminals 1 and 2: arrivals on Level 0
Hamburg Airport has two terminals, Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, with the Airport Plaza in between. After baggage reclaim, you come out into the arrivals area of your terminal on Level 0. Your chauffeur waits for you there, in the arrivals hall, with a sign showing your name.
Flight number and waiting time from landing
Give us your flight number when you book, and we can see when your plane actually touches down in Hamburg, even if it lands later than planned. The 45 minutes of waiting time included in the fixed price only start from that moment – time for baggage reclaim and the walk to the arrivals hall.
Departures: terminal and security
For departures, your chauffeur takes you to Terminal 1 or Terminal 2, depending on where your airline checks in. Security is located between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 on Level 1 of the Airport Plaza. Journeys to the airport take longer in rush-hour traffic, so allow some extra time.
Hamburg Airport transfers to the trade fair and for business travel
Hamburg Messe and the CCH
The airport and the Hamburg Messe exhibition centre are approx. 10 km apart, about 16 minutes' drive without traffic. The exhibition grounds and the CCH – Congress Center Hamburg are in the heart of the city, close to Dammtor (Messe/CCH) station. Your chauffeur takes you from the terminal straight to the fair, to your congress at the CCH or to your hotel first.
Meetings in the city centre and HafenCity
Whether your meeting is in the city centre around Rathausmarkt or your office is in HafenCity, your chauffeur drives you directly to your address. The airport and the Elbphilharmonie in HafenCity are approx. 13 km apart, about 22 minutes' drive without traffic. Companies with regular journeys can pay by invoice via bank transfer.
Hamburg Airport: transfer, S-Bahn or taxi?
S-Bahn line S1
You can reach the “Hamburg Airport (Flughafen)” station directly from the arrivals areas of Terminals 1 and 2. According to the airport, the S1 runs every 10 minutes and takes around 25 minutes to Hamburg Hauptbahnhof. That works well if you are travelling light and your destination is near the line; for the trade fair's East Entrance and the CCH, you change at Hauptbahnhof to the S2 or S5 to Dammtor (Messe/CCH).
Taxi
Taxis wait at the taxi ranks outside Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 on the arrivals level. To avoid long waits, the airport recommends ordering your taxi as soon as you arrive. You only see which car you get when it pulls up.
AYDEN transfer
Your certified chauffeur, who holds a German passenger transport licence (Personenbeförderungsschein), meets you with a name sign in the arrivals hall and drives you to the door with no changes, including to addresses away from the S-Bahn. You know the price as soon as you book, and traffic jams or diversions do not change it. Travelling as a team, with several suitcases or a tight schedule, this is often the more comfortable option.
