Meeting point at Vienna Airport: arrivals hall and name sign
The arrivals hall in Terminal 3
Vienna Airport, also known as Vienna International Airport or Vienna-Schwechat, has three terminals: Terminal 1, Terminal 1A and Terminal 3. All arriving passengers come out into the central arrivals hall after baggage reclaim; it is on level 0 of Terminal 3, at street level. Your chauffeur waits for you there holding a sign with your name on it. The airport asks travellers not to accept taxi offers from people who approach them in the arrivals hall – you will recognise your chauffeur by your name on the sign.
Flight monitoring and 45 minutes' waiting time
Using the flight number you give us when you book, we track your flight to Vienna and see when it actually lands, whether early or late. Only from that moment do the 45 minutes of waiting time included in the fixed price begin. That leaves time for baggage reclaim and the walk to the arrivals hall.
For your departure: pickup at your address
For your departure, your chauffeur is ready at the agreed time at your address in Vienna, whether that is a hotel, an office or your home, and takes you to your terminal. Journeys take longer in rush-hour traffic, so allow some extra time before check-in.
Vienna Airport transfers to trade fairs and conferences
VIECON Messe Wien and Austria Center Vienna
The former Messe Wien exhibition centre in Leopoldstadt has been called VIECON – Vienna Congress & Convention Center since 2025. From the airport to Messeplatz it is approx. 19 km, about 19 minutes without traffic. The Austria Center Vienna stands next to UNO City in Donaustadt, approx. 22 km from the airport and about 22 minutes without traffic. Your chauffeur takes you from the terminal straight to the exhibition or conference venue, or to your hotel.
Business trips and groups
If you are flying to Vienna for a conference or a meeting, you will not lose time searching after landing: your chauffeur knows when you land and waits with a name sign. Companies can pay by invoice via bank transfer if they prefer. For teams of more than 6, request the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter for up to 17 passengers using our quote request form. The price calculator shows which vehicle classes are available for your route in Vienna; First Class comes with Wi-Fi on board.
Vienna Airport: transfer, train or taxi?
Train
ÖBB long-distance trains (Railjet and Intercity) connect the airport with Wien Hauptbahnhof every half hour. Since 7 September 2026, the central section of the S-Bahn trunk line between Praterstern and Hauptbahnhof has been closed, probably until the end of October 2027: during this time the S7 only runs as far as St. Marx, and the City Airport Train (CAT) operates as a bus to Wien Mitte. The train is a good choice if you are travelling light and your destination is near Hauptbahnhof; with several suitcases, trade fair luggage or a destination in another district, changing to the U-Bahn or a tram makes the journey harder going.
Taxi
Taxis leave from the taxi rank directly in front of the arrivals hall, so there is no need to book in advance. However, you only find out which car you get, and how much room it has for your luggage, when you get there.
Transfer with AYDEN
Your chauffeur meets you in the arrivals hall and drives you to the door with no changes, whether to a hotel in the city centre or an office in Donau City. You choose the vehicle class when you book, and the price is fixed from then on; the price calculator shows which classes are available for your route. Especially if you land with lots of luggage or need to go straight to a meeting in Vienna, a transfer is usually the more relaxed choice.
