Hamburg Messe and the CCH
Hamburg Messe sits right in the city on Messeplatz, between the Planten un Blomen park and the Karolinenviertel. According to Hamburg Messe und Congress, it has 11 halls with around 87,000 m². The CCH – Congress Center Hamburg – is right next to Dammtor station and connected to the exhibition grounds.
East, Central, South and West Entrances
The East Entrance is at Dammtor and the CCH, the Central and South Entrances at the Messehallen underground stop, and the West Entrance near Sternschanze station. Which entrances are open depends on the fair, so we match the drop-off point to your hall plan.
Parking with height limits
According to the trade fair company, there are around 3,500 parking spaces at the grounds, and the underground car parks have height limits of 1.90 m (CCH) and 2.10 m. Hamburg Messe recommends park and ride and public transport; with a shuttle, the chauffeur drops your team as close to the entrance as access allows.

Hamburg Airport
From the airport in Fuhlsbüttel it is only approx. 10 km to the fair, about 17 minutes without traffic, and approx. 10 km to the CCH. By S-Bahn with a change, the trade fair company allows around 30 minutes. On request, the chauffeur picks your team up at the airport.
Hamburg central station and Dammtor
From the central station (Hauptbahnhof) it is approx. 3 km, about 6 minutes without traffic. Anyone arriving by long-distance train at Dammtor is almost at the East Entrance already; for luggage and stand material, we can pick your team up at the station on request.
If your team travels on to another city after the fair, our city-to-city transfer from Hamburg takes care of it.
Hotel and fair: short distances in Hamburg
Around the fair
According to Hamburg Messe, around 100 hotels are within walking distance, for example in St. Pauli, the Karolinenviertel and the Sternschanze area. Here the shuttle mainly carries luggage, material and team members on long shifts.
By the Alster
From the Alster and Jungfernstieg it is approx. 2 km to the fair, about 4 minutes without traffic.
HafenCity
From HafenCity the shuttle covers approx. 3 km, about 5 minutes without traffic.
Example: a stand team of 20
If a stand team of 20 is staying at hotels near Hamburg Airport, on paper one Sprinter and one Business Van cover them in a single run, without bulky luggage. Each vehicle needs about 17 minutes each way for the approx. 10 km without traffic, so a second run with the same vehicles – for later stand staff, for example – would be possible after about 34 minutes at the earliest. We check availability when you send your request.

Hamburg Messe hosts SMM for the maritime industry and WindEnergy Hamburg (both every two years), INTERNORGA and the Aircraft Interiors Expo (both every year), as well as Nordstil and REISEN HAMBURG. Large congresses also meet at the CCH – the fair and a congress can be combined in a single shuttle plan.
