The airport lies in Schwechat, south-east of the city (Terminals 1, 1A and 3). For pick-ups the airport points to short-term car park K3, a few metres from the arrivals hall exit; at the departures kerb the first 10 minutes are free once per day and number plate. Good to know for roadshows in Vienna
All of Vienna is a short-stay parking zone on weekdays from 9 am to 10 pm with a maximum of 2 hours – for longer investor meetings the chauffeur drops off and waits away from short-stay spaces.
Business hotels are found in the Innere Stadt along the Ringstrasse – close to the Vienna Stock Exchange and Otto-Wagner-Platz – and at the central station in Quartier Belvedere.
Vienna is planning camera-based access control for the Innere Stadt; the legal basis has applied since May 2026, but according to ADAC the launch is not expected before 2028. Exemptions are planned for residents, deliveries and taxis, among others.
According to ASFINAG, the A23 Südosttangente is Austria's busiest road with around 230,000 vehicles a day – at peak times trips between the airport and the city take longer.
