From Malpensa, Linate and Bergamo into Milan: meeting points and journey times
Malpensa (MXP): Terminal 1 and Terminal 2
Malpensa is the largest of Milan's three airports and lies north-west of the city. easyJet uses Terminal 2, most other airlines use Terminal 1; by road the two are approx. 7 km apart. With your flight number, your chauffeur waits at the right terminal. From Terminal 1 to the Duomo it is approx. 55 km, about 50 minutes without traffic, to Porta Nuova approx. 52 km, about 45 minutes.
Linate (LIN): the city airport
Linate lies in the east of Milan, only approx. 8 km from the Duomo – about 15 minutes without traffic. Porta Nuova is approx. 10 km away, Piazza Affari approx. 11 km. Besides a chauffeur, metro line M4 links the airport with San Babila in the city centre.
Bergamo Orio al Serio (BGY)
Bergamo Airport lies approx. 57 km east of the Duomo, about 54 minutes without traffic via the A4. Fiera Milano in Rho is approx. 58 km away, about 47 minutes. Here, too, your chauffeur waits with a name sign in the arrivals hall.
Between the airports
Landing at Malpensa and flying on from Linate the same day? Your chauffeur drives the approx. 71 km directly; without traffic the ride takes about 1 hour.
Chauffeur to Fiera Milano and the MiCo congress centre
Fiera Milano in Rho
The large exhibition centre lies north-west of the city in Rho, approx. 15 km from the Duomo, about 23 minutes without traffic, and approx. 43 km from Malpensa Terminal 1, about 36 minutes. In 2027 it hosts MIDO and MICAM in February, the Salone del Mobile in April, EMO and HOST in October and EICMA in November, among others.
Allianz MiCo in CityLife
The MiCo in the CityLife district is one of the largest congress centres in Europe. From the Duomo it is approx. 7 km, about 13 minutes without traffic, from Linate Airport approx. 13 km, about 21 minutes.
Fair days by the hour
On fair days, taxis and access roads around the Fiera are in high demand. Hire your chauffeur by the hour and they wait near the entrance and drive you between the fair, your hotel and client meetings in the city. For stand teams we put together a schedule with several vehicles.
Business meetings in Milan: Porta Nuova, CityLife and Piazza Affari
Porta Nuova
Around Piazza Gae Aulenti, close to Garibaldi and Centrale stations, lies the modern business district with its office and residential towers. From Linate Airport it is approx. 10 km, about 17 minutes without traffic, to CityLife approx. 4 km, about 8 minutes.
CityLife
The district with the three high-rises on Piazza Tre Torri borders the MiCo. Meetings there combine easily with a congress day.
Piazza Affari
Piazza Affari, a few minutes' walk from the Duomo, is home to Borsa Italiana, surrounded by banks and law firms. From Linate Airport it is approx. 11 km, about 19 minutes without traffic.
Fashion weeks
Milano Fashion Week takes place in February and September (womenswear) and in January and June (menswear). Hotels and cars are booked early in those weeks; for buying teams and guests we plan the rides between showrooms and appointments in one quote.
From Milan to Lake Como and Lugano with a private driver
Como and Cernobbio
From the Duomo to Como it is approx. 53 km, about 53 minutes without traffic, to Cernobbio on the western shore approx. 57 km, also about 53 minutes. From Malpensa Terminal 1 to Como it is approx. 56 km, about 52 minutes.
Bellagio and Varenna
Bellagio, at the tip of the peninsula, lies approx. 72 km from the Duomo, about 1 hour 23 minutes without traffic; Varenna on the eastern shore approx. 77 km, about 1 hour 27 minutes. The lakeside roads are slower, so we plan with a buffer.
Lugano
Lugano in Switzerland is approx. 79 km from the Duomo, about 1 hour 8 minutes without traffic, and approx. 70 km from Malpensa Terminal 1, about 1 hour 4 minutes; from Como it is only approx. 32 km. Keep your ID card or passport ready for the border.
A day at the lake
For a supporting programme with guests or a meeting at a lakeside villa, hire your chauffeur by the hour: they drive you there, wait and bring you back to Milan or the airport in the evening.
How we work in Milan: NCC partners, with AYDEN as your contact
What NCC means
In Italy, a hired car with driver is called "NCC" – noleggio con conducente. Companies need a licence from their municipality; unlike taxis, they only drive pre-booked jobs.
Who drives
In Milan, your chauffeurs come from NCC partner companies based in the city. They speak Italian and English and drive all five AYDEN classes: First Class, Business Class, Business Van, SUV and Sprinter.
Your contact
Enquiry, quote and coordination run through AYDEN – in English or German, around the clock and at short notice. If a flight or meeting changes, we adjust the ride with our partner on site.
Onward to Munich, Turin or Rome
Milan – Munich
From the Duomo to Marienplatz it is approx. 494 km, about 5 hours 50 minutes without traffic via Switzerland and Austria. How longer door-to-door rides work is explained on City-to-city from Munich.
Turin
Turin is approx. 145 km from the Duomo, about 1 hour 45 minutes without traffic via the A4 – as a day trip for a meeting with the return in the evening, or one way.
Rome
If your trip continues in Italy, AYDEN also meets you with a name sign at Fiumicino and Ciampino airports. More on our Rome airport transfer page.
